No one has come close to beating second-ranked Dana Hills in South Coast League play this season. But sixth-ranked Mater Dei has a chance to put a scare into the Dolphins today if the Monarchs’ No. 1 singles player, Melissa Esmero, has a big day at Dana Hills.
In the Pacific Coast League, University will try to improve its league record to 9-0 with a victory at home against Aliso Niguel. The Trojans started slowly but have had several significant victories in the last two weeks, including one over eighth-ranked Capistrano Valley on Monday.
