Roy Keeps Moving Up Victory List
Another game, another milestone for Patrick Roy.
Roy, coming off his first loss of the season, made 19 saves and moved into seventh place on the career victory list as the Colorado Avalanche beat the Buffalo Sabres, 3-2, Tuesday night at Denver.
Joe Sakic scored his eighth goal of the season for the Avalanche.
Calgary 6, Pittsburgh 3--Jarome Iginla scored twice and rookie goalie Tyler Moss won his first start at Calgary.
Dallas 3, New York Rangers 2--Richard Matvichuk scored two goals in a 72-second span of the first period as the Stars beat the Rangers at New York.

Les Alexander, owner of the NBA’s Houston Rockets, has reached an oral agreement to buy the Edmonton Oilers, a television station in Houston reported.
Oiler owner Peter Pocklington has scheduled a news conference for Friday but refused to discuss the announcement. The Rockets declined comment.
