Campbell Contest Entry Deemed Mm-Mm Good

Robert Merryweather of Southern California was one of three first-place winners in the Campbell’s “Art of Soup” contest.
Merryweather, 51, of Playa del Rey, created a robot entirely from soup cans, labels and spoons. Merryweather was awarded $5,000 for his “souper hero.”
The grand-prize winner was Dino Sistilli, a 70-year-old retiree from Woodbury, N.J. Sistilli, who won $10,000 and 100 shares of Campbell stock, created a sheet of commemorative postage stamps.
The winning work will remain on display as part of a special exhibit at the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh.
