Tontz, Montana Win in Tennis

IRVINE — Chris Tontz and Pablo Montana teamed to beat Steve Tallakson and Thomas Bohun in the men’s doubles final of the Children’s Hospital of Orange County tennis tournament Sunday at the Racquet Club of Irvine.
Tontz and Montana lost the first set, 4-6, but rallied to win the next two, 6-2, 7-5, The victory was worth $1,000 each for Tontz and Montana. Tallakson and Bohun each received $375.
Danielle Scott and Ann Mall beat Stephanie Rhorer and Jandrea Ouwendky, 6-0, 6-3, in the women’s open.
Scott and Mall each won $400. Scott and Glen Michibata won the mixed doubles, 6-3, 6-2.
The event raised about $50,000 for the hospital.
