Concert Will Honor Newport Crash Victim
A benefit concert to raise money for the Donny Bridgman Scholarship Foundation at the University of Colorado will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at the Huntington Beach International Surfing Museum, 411 W. Olive Ave.
The concert, being sponsored by Drive SAFE (Safety Awareness for Everyone), will feature surf guitar great Dick Dale and other local surf music acts to honor the memory of Bridgman, killed in last May’s accident involving 10 Newport Harbor High School students. Food and drinks will be available, and a raffle will feature surfboards as top prizes.
