Boland to Speak at Residents’ Meeting
Former Assemblywoman Paula Boland will head a long list of guest speakers at Tuesday’s meeting of the North Hollywood Residents Assn.
The 6:30 p.m. meeting will concentrate on updating residents on several area projects and ways residents can help improve their community.
Boland, a Granada Hills Republican who until last year served in the Assembly and is now an elected member of the Los Angeles City Charter Reform Commission, will be joined by Deputy Los Angeles Police Chief David J. Gascon, who will speak about crime and safety.
Other speakers will include association representative Joan Luchs, who will discuss Universal Studios’ plans to expand; Gerald Silver, who will talk about the Burbank Airport expansion; Robert Nudelman, who will discuss issues facing the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and pending litigation with the MTA, and Glenn Hoiby, who will update residents on the Community Redevelopment Agency’s current projects.
The meeting will be held at the First Baptist Church of North Hollywood, 11210 Otsego St., one block west of Lankershim Boulevard at Fair Avenue.
