Toys Top Wish List for Adopted Families
Saddleback Community Outreach hopes to make Christmas a little merrier for some people with its adopt-a-family program.
The program has been operating for eight years, and will reach out to about 700 people during the Christmas season.
“Our biggest need right now is new toys,†said Shawna Smith, administrator of the organization.
“The toys should be unwrapped and can be for any age, although we are always short on gift items for teenage girls and boys,†Smith said.
Smith said each adopted family receives a food basket, as well as other gifts.
The organization, which provides emergency assistance to needy families in the South County area, also is in need of donations of food and money.
Saddleback Community Outreach is at 23011 Moulton Parkway, Suite B-5, Laguna Hills.
