Dallas Cowboy owner Jerry Jones says Washington Redskin Coach Norv Turner should have more to do than worry about who stands on the sidelines.

Turner, who used to be the Cowboy offensive coordinator, complained Monday that the Cowboys should have been penalized when Jones stepped on the field Sunday to protest a pass-interference call during a 17-14 victory over the Redskins.

“If anyone believes that my presence on the sidelines had a bearing on the outcome of Sunday’s game then I’m flattered,†Jones said in a statement. “But we all know that wasn’t the case.â€

San Francisco 49er safety Tim McDonald, who has started 91 consecutive games, will sit out Sunday’s game against San Diego because of a broken bone in his right foot. He is expected to be out three weeks.

Sentencing was postponed for Atlanta Falcon linebacker Cornelius Bennett, who pleaded guilty in September to a sexual misconduct charge. A judge in Buffalo set a new sentencing date of Feb. 10 because he wanted to review the victim’s medical bills and other expenses.

Bennett pleaded guilty after the incident in a Buffalo hotel room. He could face up to a year in jail.
