Water Polo
Peetz, from Newport Harbor High, scored 13 goals as Golden West won three games to take the Southern California championship. He scored five times as the Rustlers beat Chaffey, 14-5, in the title game. He had four goals each in a 13-5 victory over San Diego Mesa in the quarterfinals and a 12-5 victory over Citrus in the semifinals. Golden West (33-0) is top-ranked in the state.
