Skylark School Nears 40th Anniversary

Skylark Elementary School officials are looking for former school employees to join a 40th anniversary celebration.
Past and current faculty and staff plan to gather on Jan. 17 for a luncheon at the Jolly Roger Inn, at Harbor Boulevard and Katella Avenue in Anaheim.
Skylark Elementary, part of the Garden Grove Unified School District, opened in 1958 but closed in 1980 because of declining enrollment. The campus reopened this fall to accommodate growth in the district.
