* The Late Great Author Party II--Costumed actors will portray literary greats at a gala fund-raiser for learning enhancement centers, Friday, Pasadena Central Library, 7-9 p.m.

* Veterans Day Parade and Celebration--Parade begins at 10 a.m. Saturday at Houghton Park in Long Beach with the celebration, including a USO Canteen and barbecue, to follow.
