Seventeen Miami Beach police officers have asked to be taken off their special unit because a SWAT team from another department was called in to rush the houseboat where Andrew Phillip Cunanan was found dead. A police union spokesman said the 18-member Warrant Service Team was humiliated when told a SWAT team from the Metro-Dade Police Department was to go into the houseboat on July 23. In National City, Calif., the family and godparents of Cunanan quietly said goodbye to him at a private memorial service.
