Piranha update--Anaheim closes out its disappointing home season tonight. The Piranhas’ only two victories have come at the Pond. Last week, the Piranhas were beaten by the Arizona Rattlers, 53-37, after leading at halftime, 30-28. Piranha quarterback John Kaleo set a franchise record with 53 pass attempts, third-most in Arena Football history, completing 28 of them for 300 yards and four touchdowns. He also had three interceptions, giving him an AFL record of 21 for the season.
Mustang update--Milwaukee broke a four-game losing streak by defeating Nashville, 48-41, last week. Lincoln Coleman, an ex-Dallas Cowboy, rushed for 45 yards and two touchdowns in the victory. Quarterback Todd Hammel completed nine of 13 passes for 103 yards and a touchdown. The Mustangs defeated the Piranhas, 47-44, in Milwaukee earlier this season.
