Ammo Ban
Seeking once again to avert accidental shootings on New Year’s Eve, L.A. police and City Councilman Joel Wachs will hold a news conference Monday to highlight the holiday ban on sales or transfers of ammunition in L.A. The ban runs for the week leading up to and including New Year’s Day. For several years, police have tried to stop revelers from firing guns in the air on the holiday.
