Dates Set for Mayor’s Speech, Breakfast

Dates are set for the annual mayor’s state of the city address and Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast.
Mayor Bruce Broadwater will discuss why he believes Garden Grove is the “best place to call home” during his annual address to the city Jan. 19 at 11:30 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Alicante hotel.
Tickets are $25 in advance or $32.50 at the door. For reservations, call the Chamber of Commerce at (714) 638-7950.
The Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast will be Feb. 11 at 7 a.m. in the Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Ave. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door; reserve by calling (714) 741-5280.
Junior Olympics gymnast Diane Ellington Smith, paralyzed in a training accident, will be guest speaker.
