Homeless Invited to Free Holiday Meal

The homeless will get a free holiday meal Sunday as part of a memorial service and dinner at the Sepulveda United Methodist Church.

Coordinated by the San Fernando Valley Homeless Coalition, the event is part of the 1997 National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day, held to recognize the homeless who died this year, said John Horn, the group’s chairman.

“We’re allowing the homeless the opportunity to remember friends who have died in the Valley because, when they pass on, no one remembers them,†Horn said.
