Visitor Bureau Board Chairman Selected

Glenn Hale has been named chairman of the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau 1998 board of directors.
Hale, general manager of the Anaheim Hilton & Towers, said the coming year will bring new attractions for tourists and convention visitors to experience.
Charles Ahlers, president of the Visitor & Convention Bureau, also said with the expansion of Disneyland and Anaheim Convention Center, the theme park’s renovated Tomorrowland and refurbished baseball stadium, will reshape the area into a world-class destination.
Others selected to serve on the board, and whose terms expire Dec. 31, 2000, are: Carolyn Carey, Knott’s Berry Farm; Sue Edwards, Castle Inn & Suites; Werner Escher, South Coast Plaza & Village; Shiro Monden, Japan Travel Bureau; Jerry O’Connell, Pacific Coast Sightseeing/Grayline of Anaheim; Don Schmid, Hyatt Regency Alicante; Ned Snavely, Anaheim Marriott hotel; and Russ Cox, WestCoast Anaheim hotel.
