Laguna Canyon Road to Close 4 Hours Today

Commuters should get an early start today because Caltrans has announced that all lanes of Laguna Canyon Road will be closed from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Caltrans officials are closing the city’s major roadway to do emergency maintenance after last weekend’s storm.
The closure, from El Toro Road to 3rd Street, is to scale away rock and dirt before the next storm arrives.
Larry Kelleman, Caltrans resident engineer, said that by closing the roadway, work that would otherwise take four days can be done in four hours.
