Jackson, from Mater Dei High, led Orange Coast to the championship of the Kiwanis tournament. The Pirates are without point guard Carlos Reyes (knee injury), but Jackson, a forward, filled in all over the court. He had 32 points, seven rebounds and four assists in an 85-75 victory over Long Beach in the final. He averaged 24 points, eight rebounds and three assists in the tournament.
