Lemon Spill Sours Commute
An Oxnard firefighter helps clear spilled lemons from the Ventura Freeway. Southbound traffic was stopped for a short time Tuesday afternoon after a truck spilled its load at the Oxnard Boulevard exit. California Highway Patrol officers said the spill occurred just east of the Santa Clara River bridge. It put the squeeze on traffic and prompted the closing of all three southbound lanes. No accidents were reported as a result of the spill.
