Ironically, the Grinch may make it a merry Christmas for Academy Award winning animator Chuck Jones of Corona del Mar, whose work will be sold at Christie’s in New York on Dec. 18. The auction house will put Jones’ images of the Grinch, Bugs Bunny, Wile E. Coyote and others on the block, as well as cels from two of the animator’s latest productions, “Chariots of Fur,” and “Another Froggy Evening.” Bids are expected to run as high as $7,000 per piece.
