Huntington Beach Marina made short work of three-time state champion San Jose Archbishop Mitty, winning the girls’ volleyball State Division I championship match, 15-9, 15-10, 15-9, at Cypress College Saturday.

Katie Keating added 11 kills and 17 digs for Marina, which played tough defense throughout the match to frustrate Archbishop Mitty (28-3).
Monique Tobbagi, who will attend Oregon, had 10 kills for Archbishop Mitty, which could never gain any momentum.
“They made so few mistakes,” Archbishop Mitty Coach Jason Curtis said. “It was tough to find any openings.”
