Keady Winningest Purdue Coach

Keady improved his record to 372-162 in 18 seasons at Purdue, passing Ward Lambert.
“It’s great to have it because the guy was a legend,†Keady said of Lambert. “Coach [John] Wooden said so much of him because he respected him so much.â€

Former DePaul coach Joey Meyer was courtside as a Northwestern commentator during the Blue Demons’ 72-59 loss to the Wildcats at Evanston, Ill.
Meyer, who resigned under pressure following a 3-23 season, was replaced by former Florida State Coach Pat Kennedy.
It’s the first time since 1942 that a member of the Meyer family hasn’t been the DePaul coach. Joey coached 13 seasons while his dad, Ray, had a 42-year run at the school before retiring in 1984.
“Seeing the [DePaul] players when they first came out and at the beginning of the game was very difficult,†Meyer admitted after the game. “I recruited a lot of those players and part of me is in those young people. . . . .It’s behind me now. DePaul’s moving on and I’m moving on.â€
