Applications Available for Judicial Fellows Program
College graduates in the Pico Rivera area can apply for the U.S. Supreme Court’s 1998-99 Judicial Fellows Program, U.S. Rep. Esteban Torres (D-Pico Rivera) said.
“Area college graduates who have an interest in the nation’s judicial system and who show promise of making a contribution to the judiciary are encouraged to apply,” Torres said.
Participants spend a year working within the federal judiciary and may be assigned to the U.S. Supreme Court. Candidates must have at least one postgraduate degree and two or more years of professional experience.
Former fellows have had academic backgrounds in political science, public and business administration, economics, the behavioral sciences, journalism and law.
Candidates should call (562) 695-0702 by Nov. 17.
