Gunman Makes Victim Get Him Cash at ATMs
A gunman robbed and kidnapped a Laguna Hills woman Tuesday, forcing her to withdraw $900 from automatic-teller machines before releasing her.
About 11:30 a.m., the man, armed with a silver-colored handgun, confronted the 53-year-old woman at a California Federal Bank near El Toro Road and Moulton Parkway, said Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Keith Brown.
The gunman hit her on the head and cheek and forced her to withdraw cash from ATMs at three other banks, Brown said.
“Finally the card said, ‘Sorry, that’s your limit for the day,’ ” Brown said, and the robber let her go about 2:15 p.m., back where they started.
