Plan Review Board Has Three Vacancies
Volunteers are needed to keep involved with the Foothill/Trabuco Specific Plan, a planning document that regulates development in the canyon community.
Three seats are open on the plan’s review board, which was created by the county in 1991.
The board reviews proposed developments in Trabuco Canyon and compares them to the specific plan, then reports its findings to county planners.
The group recently worked on the controversial Saddleback Meadows housing development proposal.
Prospective members will be selected by 3rd District Supervisor Todd Spitzer, whose nominations must be approved by the Board of Supervisors.
“It is important to open the process up to everyone in the community because we must have a level playing field,” Spitzer said. “At this point there are three expired seats and we are looking for an all-inclusionary process.”
