Wildlife Refuge Plans Free Tour Saturday
The Seal Beach National Wildlife Refuge will be open for its monthly tour Saturday at 9 a.m. The free tour begins at the Naval Weapons Station Nature Center, Building 226.
The two-hour tour will be conducted by docents who will point out endangered species and rare birds on the 1,000-acre refuge.
Reservations are not required. Cameras are not allowed on the naval property but binoculars are acceptable.
The tour is co-sponsored by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the El Dorado Audubon Society and the Friends of the Seal Beach National Wildlife Refuge.
