Season of Monthly Dances Set to Begin

Learn to twirl your partner round and round at the season’s kickoff of the monthly Country Western and Swing Dance.
The public is invited to a free lesson by Kathy Bailey--a longtime Ventura County dance teacher--on Sept. 6 from 7 to 8 p.m. Then it’s $5 to continue dancing until 11 p.m.
The dance is put on by the Conejo Recreation and Park District and is held at the Conejo Community Center, 1300 Hendrix Ave. This is the season’s first event; dances will be held the first Saturday of each month until May.
Chips and salsa will be served at the smoke-free and alcohol-free dance.
