Medical Marijuana
Kudos to Maja Hanson for providing some sane simplicity to the current debate over medical marijuana (“A Different Kind of Reefer Madness,” Commentary, Aug. 6).
A few home-grown plants for private, personal medical relief present no danger to society. In fact, as Hanson deftly points out, the freedom of individual cultivation would contribute to a reduction in the criminal activity of gangs and the tainted altruism of the various cannabis buyers’ clubs.
