MTA Bus Service

As a frequent rider on the MTA bus system and someone who is dependent on public transportation as my only affordable option, I am angered and appalled at the state of affairs within the MTA. Anyone who rides the buses will tell you that what this city needs is more buses, not an outrageously expensive subway.

I understand the greed and corruption behind wanting all of those yummy matching federal funds, but I can tell you the ridership is starved for better service. Unfortunately I believe nothing will be done because the service is so abysmal that only people who have no other option use it. Because of this you see very little outrage from the vast middle class who drive, because their need for transportation is met. They are oblivious to the daily ritual of tardiness, rudeness, lack of accessible routes and inconvenient scheduling. They don’t have to put up with it.
