Regarding “He’s Hot, He’s Sexy, and He’s Alive” (by Robert Hilburn, Aug. 3):

Surely Hilburn, who appears to keep up with the most up-to-date music, has better things to write about than Elvis Presley’s supposed return. We can see further editions. 2001: “Jim Morrison, 30th anniversary of his death: What Brecht tunes would he be performing now? Ask the experts!” Rather ludicrous, no?

Speculation is all well and good when there is a probability that the event of interest will occur. We doubt Elvis will be playing Vegas in the near future.
