Troy Dumais of Ventura won the one-meter springboard title at the National Diving Championships Friday in Dallas.

Dumais, 17, led after four rounds in the one-meter final, but fell eight points behind two-time champion Dean Panaro after a faulty fifth dive.

His sixth dive, a reverse one and one-half somersault with two and one-half twists, won him the title when Panaro faltered on his sixth dive.
