2 Flown to Hospital After 3-Car Collision on PCH
A three-car collision on Pacific Coast Highway on Friday night sent at least two people to the hospital with major injuries, a CHP spokeswoman said.
Details of the 8:05 p.m. accident were sketchy.
The crash occurred in the southbound lane just north of Neptune’s Net restaurant near the Los Angeles County border, the CHP spokeswoman said.
By 9:15 p.m., traffic was backed up on both sides of the highway as rescue workers closed the road to make room for a helicopter to land so it could transport the victims to a hospital, she said. “It’s unknown whether alcohol was involved,” the spokeswoman said.
