Missing Northridge Soccer Recruit Found

A Cal State Northridge soccer recruit who was reported missing turned up safe Friday night, prompting the LAPD to drop a probe into her whereabouts.

Nikki Thomas, 23, of Canada called her parents and said she was alone but fine, police said. She arrived in Los Angeles on Sunday, but was reported missing after failing to attend preseason activities.

Thomas, who has been staying at an undisclosed Los Angeles location, has apparently decided not to attend the university and has booked a flight back to Toronto, a family friend said.
