Neighbors to Gather for Street Cleanup, Beautification Drive
About 70 Hollywood neighbors are planning to gather at Santa Monica Boulevard and Western Avenue today for a neighborhood cleanup and beautification.
Residents will pick up trash from streets and alleys starting at 8:30 a.m and then have a barbecue provided by the area office of Councilwoman Jackie Goldberg.
In the future, Goldberg’s office wants to take on other public safety issues in the neighborhood, including tackling drug sales and establishing an after-school program to help cut down on teenage gang violence, Goldberg aide Suzi Hoffman-Kipp said.
