Children to Enjoy a Day of Sailing
Abused and emotionally troubled children receiving treatment through Canyon Acres Children’s Services will be treated today to a sailing trip aboard the American Pride, a 130-foot, three-masted schooner donated for the day by the American Heritage Museum.
About 75 people, including children from the organization’s residential treatment center, group homes and foster homes, will sail on the historic vessel.
Canyon Acres has received several community awards for its work with abused and troubled children.
