Brooke Group Ltd. said its second-quarter loss widened on its Liggett cigarette unit’s declining U.S. sales to $13.6 million, or 75 cents a share, from $10.7 million, or 58 cents, in the year-earlier period. . . . Los Angeles-based Koo Koo Roo Inc. reported a second-quarter loss of $2.9 million, or 15 cents per share, compared with a loss of $1.6 million, or 11 cents, a year ago, when there were fewer shares outstanding.
