Budget Deadline

I suggest that we put Prop. 630 (standing for June 30) on the ballot, to stop the governor and the legislators from the annual farce of the budget impasse. It would contain, in part, the following provisions:
If the budget is not signed by the governor by June 30, all pay and benefits for the elected executive and legislative persons stop and are permanently forfeited starting at midnight June 30 and continuing until the budget is signed. This would include the medical, per diem, car allowance and any other perquisites that they receive.
