Charlotte Leaves Phoenix Behind

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Andrea Stinson had 25 points and seven rebounds to lead the Charlotte Sting to a 79-59 WNBA victory over the Phoenix Mercury before 10,139 on Saturday.
Charlotte (11-9), which won its ninth home game, also got 21 points and nine rebounds from Vicky Bullett.
Bridget Pettis led Phoenix (10-11) with 14 points.
Bullett scored with 7:20 left in the game to start a 10-0 run that put Charlotte in command at 66-51. Phoenix could get no closer than 11 points the rest of the game.
