Area Educational Opportunities at Risk
* In the Sunday Ventura County edition, there was a story describing self-styled educational “experts” who are willing to endanger the future educational opportunities of thousands of county residents in order to promote their ideological agenda.
Who are these people who are trying to lecture the rest of the county on the design of the ideal Cal State University for their fellow citizens? They appear to be a small, vocal, fringe minority of the same persuasion as those who attempted to disrupt education in the county the last few years.
Meanwhile, those who have labored long and diligently to overcome the decades of neglect and other obstacles are to be congratulated for pressing on with the development of the campus, which will at long last make a university education possible for thousands of Ventura County residents.
