Community Center Offers El Rio Pride
* Among the school districts in Ventura County, El Rio has been the stepsister, struggling for money, recognition and pride.
The possibility of a community center or gym will do much to restore respect to the area. Students will have a place to come to play, socialize, study and grow.
It should be a place offering a multitude of choices--basketball, game room, library, study cubicles and a schedule of planned activities.
If done right, the center could be a jewel.
