PacifiCare of California Names New Chief Accounting Officer

* Peter A. Reynolds has been appointed controller and chief accounting officer of PacifiCare of California in Santa Ana, the HMO subsidiary of PacifiCare Health Systems Inc. He will be taking over the responsibilities formerly handled by Donald Costa, who was recently named Western region chief financial officer, serving the California, Washington and Oregon markets. Before joining PacifiCare, Reynolds was the director of financial reporting for Foundation Health Corp. in Rancho Cordova. He also spent more than 10 years in health care auditing and consulting with Deloitte & Touche in Seattle and Ernst & Young in San Francisco.

* Daniel L. Ogden has been named chief operating officer of Yokohama Tire Corp.’s U.S. operations. Ogden was previously president and chief executive of Emco Enterprises and executive vice president, North American operations for Bridgestone/Firestone.

* Don Miller has been named president of Experian Real Estate Solutions in Anaheim, a provider of real estate and mortgage information. Miller joined Experian’s predecessor, TRW’s credit bureau, 21 years ago, and served in various management positions.

* Gerald O. Yahr has been appointed executive vice president of the Western division of Koll Real Estate Group in Newport Beach. He was formerly senior vice president.

* Richard D. Fybel and Susan E.M. Rule have transferred from the Los Angeles office of the Morrison & Foerster law firm to join the litigation group in Orange County. Fybel has practiced for more than 25 years in Los Angeles and Orange County. Rule is engaged in general litigation practice, with an emphasis on intellectual property and securities law.

* Pamela Fanning Carter has joined the board of directors of National Telephone & Communications Inc. in Irvine. She served as Indiana attorney general from January 1993 to January 1997, and is now a partner with the Indianapolis-based law firm of Johnson Smith Pence.

* Sue Laing has been appointed regional sales manager/Western region for Grand Bay Hotels & Resorts’ new sales office in Newport Beach. Laing had been with Hyatt Hotels Corp. for 18 years.

* Louis M. Packard Jr. and Steven D. Archer have joined Administaff Inc. as consultants in the new Newport Beach office. Packard was formerly general manager for Integration Consulting, a custom database developer in Rancho Santa Margarita. Archer was previously responsible for franchise development for ATL International.
