PICTURE IMPERFECT
Regarding Suzanne Muchnic’s “Changing Picture at LACMA” (Aug. 3): A more apt title would be “Dismal Picture at LACMA for Museum-goers.” Small filler projects from the L.A. County Museum of Art storage rooms that only take up wall space have been the museum-goer’s diet for too long.
The museum should take a lesson from the L.A. Philharmonic--go out of the country if you must to find a “conductor” who will put the museum-goer first and foremost and will restore the excitement, the verve, the must-do/see attitude that LACMA used to represent.
