LYRICAL
So screenwriter Brian Helgeland hates being called an overnight success (Whatever., Aug. 3)? Poor baby!
Maybe if Helgeland would spend more time writing and less time whining, he would not have to steal “a lot of good dialogue for women out of song lyrics by women, sometimes ripping them off directly. . . .”
Clearly Helgeland wouldn’t know “original vision” unless he found it in a song lyric. Let’s hope his lawyer can teach him.
