From Times Staff and Wire Reports

A judge in Kingston threw out a high-profile murder case against a U.S. couple, citing a lack of evidence. Justice Dunbar Cenac of the Eastern Caribbean High Court dismissed the charges against Jim and Penny Fletcher, pointing out the lack of witnesses, physical evidence and motive, according to Bruce Zagaris, the couple’s lawyer. The West Virginia couple had been charged with killing Jerome “Jolly” Joseph, a boat-taxi driver who was last seen ferrying them to their yacht.
