Painting Festival to Draw 100 Artists
More than 100 artists will compete at Mission San Juan Capistrano next week in the third annual California Art Club Outdoor Painting Festival.
The public can watch the artists as they work from dawn to dusk Monday through Friday.
At the end of the week, a panel of judges will select the top three paintings and award the artists cash prizes totaling $10,000.
All of the art from the week’s paint-in will be on display Saturday and Sunday at the mission. Many paintings exhibited will be on sale.
Admission is $5 for adults and $4 for children and seniors. The mission is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 31522 Camino Capistrano.
