Fall Festival Benefit to Take Place Today
A fund-raiser with German music, food and microbrewed beer will take place today at Pearson Park amphitheater for the city’s Fall Festival and Parade.
This year’s festival is scheduled for Oct. 25 and will include a salute to Anaheim Union High School District’s centennial.
Organizer Frank Feldhaus, a former city councilman, said proceeds from today’s event will help offset costs of the downtown festival, featuring local school bands.
The fund-raiser begins at 6:30 p.m., with a musical performance at 8 p.m. by the Bluebirds. Music for dancing will be provided by the Schuhplattlers. The amphitheater is at Lemon and Sycamore streets.
Admission is $15 for adults and $9 for children 12 and under. Admission includes entertainment and food. Beer and ale tasting will cost extra.
Tickets are on sale at downtown shops on Center Street Promenade and will also be sold at the event.
