Movie Sound Designer to Give LACMA Lecture
Academy Award-winning sound designer Gary Rydstrom will discuss digital sound in motion pictures today at 6 p.m. in LACMA’s Bing Theater. The lecture will be followed by two films that Rydstrom worked on, “Toy Story” (1995) and “Jurassic Park” (1993), at 7:30 p.m.
The lecture and screenings will conclude LACMA’s Big Sound film series.
The lecture is free but admission to the screenings is $6 for the general public, and $4 for museum members, AFI members and students with identification.
