Chenowith Keys Victory for Blue Team

Eric Chenowith, a standout center from Villa Park High, scored 25 points to help the Blue team beat the Black team, 145-143, in the third annual Summer Showcase basketball game Sunday at the Long Beach Pyramid.
The game was a matchup of many of the top graduating high school seniors from Southern California.
Chenowith, who will play at Kansas this fall, made 12 of 16 shots from the field and one of four free throws. He also had nine rebounds in 28 minutes.
Forward Chris Burgess, a former Woodbridge standout who will attend Duke this fall, scored 22 points in 28 minutes for the Black team.
He made 10 of 11 shots from the field, including a three-pointer, and got seven rebounds.
Jamahl Mosley, a Vista Rancho Buena Vista graduate who is going to Colorado, scored a game-high 34 points for the Black team.
