Forest Passes for Sale at Several Locations
- Share via
The National Forest Service has released a list of locations where people may purchase Adventure Passes before visiting any of the four Southern California national forests.
Beginning Monday, people who want to enter Los Padres, Angeles, Cleveland and San Bernardino national forests will be required to display the $5 daily or $30 annual pass on their vehicle.
The passes are part of a pilot program intended to help maintain and improve recreation sites in the forests. In the past, most of the recreation fees collected on national forests were returned to the U.S. Treasury.
Passes are not required at campgrounds or other facilities that require a separate fee.
Passes may be purchased at the Ojai Ranger Station, 1190 E. Ojai Ave., and the following gas stations and stores in Ventura County:
* Dennett’s Unocal, 341 W. Gonzales Road, Oxnard.
* Great Pacific Iron Works, 235 W. Santa Clara St., Ventura.
* Bob Brown Chevron, 704 Ventura St., Fillmore.
* Oak View Shell, 905 N. Ventura Ave., Oak View.
* Andy’s Liquor, 101 E. El Roblar Drive, Ojai.
* Unocal 76 service station, 1124 California 33, Ojai.
